Reiew: 'Helloby II: The Golden Army' is not as much fun and blows it eventually

Hellboy II: The Golden Army   PG 13
The saga continues under the same director, Guillermo del Toro. Ron Pearlman, Selma Blair and a cast of stars return for the second film in the Dark Horse Comics series. The family of an ancient elf army has kept part of a crown that holds the power to awaken The Golden Army, a mechanized robot force of doom, and the last piece is kept with humans. Eons later, the evil prince seeks the missing piece, and decimates an auction in New York where it's being held. Enter, Hellboy and the agents of the government paranormal activity group. The evil prince has a sister who infiltrates the organization, but the evil prince is after her using his psychic link to her. The problem here is they introduce the silly idea of Hellboy about to be expectant father. Yuck! Having done that, the director did not make another one, because he effectively killed his franchise.
