Review: 'The Green Hornet' movie version of classic TV series is at times fun

The Green Hornet   PG 13
Seth Rogan and Jay Cho play The Green Hornet ant Kato in this movie adaptation of the super cheesy TV show, which had Bruce Lee as Kato. The new guy is not Bruce Lee, or even close. Anyway, after Britt Reid's Kane like Dad is killed, the selfish ne’er do well son of the millionaire decides to fight crime, using the gadgetry of the master craftsman Kato, who also makes a mean coffee latte. Thank goodness they did not cast Will Farrel. If they had, forget it. Even so, Seth Rogan is not the Hornet. He's like his dippy son. The bad guy is so cheesy, Bloodovich? Really? Wacky chase scenes and visuals make for an entertaining if completely dumb premise watchable. Still, like The A Team, this show was also cheesy so the movie had some of the charm of the show, even if it flounders in the execution and relies too heavily on things blowing up and being tossed at the screen.
