Review: 'Iron Man' is classic comic book turned fun flying power suit flick

Iron Man   PG 13
Tony Stark, (Robert Downey Jr.), is Iron Man! A brilliant arms dealer, (deviating from the Vietnam vet gone high tech 70s comics), set in the present day, makes a bad deal and is captured, he is wounded and must live off a glowing battery driven pacemaker thing, but he builds a suit, with the help of an old scientist, and they bust out of the holding camp. (The suit is a nod to the earlier comics). Then he later reinvents the suit, as a closer to the 90s version comic books suit, and updates his pacemaker thing with a powerful energy source. With an evil mastermind within his ranks threatening him, it's a clash of the metal clad titans! Great effects don't spoil the movie one bit, pacing is dynamic, and dialogue is actually top notch for a comic book based story. Jon Favreau understands this material. It's one of the best movies of 2008, and of this decade.
