Review: 'Star Wars Holiday Special' is oh so laughably bad

Star Wars: Holiday Special
George Lucas attempted to eradicate every known copy of this video atrocity, but thanks to EBay and YouTube, people have been getting copies from the broadcast. This is it, the amazingly horrible adventures of Star Wars set between Episode IV (New Hope) and Episode V (Empire Strikes Back)! Yes, Han and Chewbacca are trying to escape the Empire while his family prepares for Life Day, and seeing grunting Wookies watching TV and playing games is just so much fun. No! Then it gets worse! Steve Binder can't direct the cast. Half of them are stoned or bored, especially Fisher, who is obviously blitzed while singing the Star Wars theme to the Life Day poem Lucas wrote, (but doesn't take credit for). Dina Carrol and Jefferson Starship are in it. Yipee! This tripe makes Phantom Menace look brilliant. After seeing it, you will know why Lucas tried to make it go away. And Mark Hammill post car crash looks like he is doped up on enough painkillers to choke Jabba the Hut. And no, the Boba Fett cartoon part isn't cool. It sucks. It's just not as bad as the other stuff going on. Yes, there is a suggestive wookie scene that will curl your fur. Gack. Yes, someone drinks through his head. Yes, you will be baffled! Wow. The worst made for TV movie ever made.
