Review: 'Drag Me To Hell' is slick horror nod

Drag Me to Hell   PG 13
Sam Rami returns to his horror roots in this spooky tale of a carnal bank employee who unknowingly gets cursed by an old gypsy witch when she refuses her a bank loan on her nearly repossessed house (ha, possessed, get bit)? She spends the whole movie trying to get rid of the curse, while hallucination like demon apparitions lead her to unspeakable horrors and gross out effects. Winks and nods to classic horror ideas, evil gypsy curses, food with horrors in it, gushing blood, demons in the house, make for fright night fun. Sometimes the story plods along with a little too much bank mumo jumbo, when you want to get to the ghouls, but it's good fun for a Halloween rental.
