The loudest, most ridiculous scifi
asteroid disaster movie ever. Michael Bay of Bad Boys makes his oil rigger protagonists
so annoying that you root for the rock to smash them, and Earth, to bits. In
1998, the year of asteroid flicks, anything goes, or falls to Earth. This
cheesy story isn't so bad it's good. It's just...so...bad. And no, the hot
chick, Liv Tyler, doesn't make it a good movie just because she's in it. Willis
and Affleck are terrible. The lavish sets and FX cannot save this thing from
hurling out of control through space and crashing with a thunderous smack.
