Memento R
Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins)
directed this weird and confusing mind trip about a man who has only immediate
short term memory and then loses
anything after that. He believes that someone has killed his wife and he begins
writing down clues on paper and tattooing them on his body. A mysterious set of
people comes into his life that may know something or may be using him for some
kind of assassination plot. The flick needs a playbook just to sort of what in
the heck is going on. It's not a fun who done it, 'Usual Suspects' feeling but
rather a confused hyper ADHD mess that makes you want to walk away or squirm
around, but not out of anxiety, out of terminal confusion. Review by Adam Browne
