Pink Flamingos R
John Waters, the so called King of Puke of Baltomore, breaks into cult movie madness and infamy with his first Dreamland production to go kind of mainstream, 'Pink Flamingos'. The sick flick stars a giant drag queen friend of his Divine, as Babs, who with her posse of deviants lives in a trailer in the woods and declares she is the filthiest person alive. When Mink Stole, as Connie, and her husband, David Lochrey, Raymond try to take her title by running a twisted basement biology project, and torching the trailer, the revenge comedy is on. The travesty of early 1970s dementia ends with Divine eating something truly terrible of the street. Not for the kids. Really not for most people. But it's sick fun and horror and truly in bad taste.
