Review: 'Back to the Future 3' is fine send off set in the Old West

Back to the Future Part III   PG
Marty and Doc go back to the Old West days in this rip roaring finale to the BTTF trilogy. Not as fun the third time around, but not stale, as they filmed both sequels back to back. Doc carries more story this time. The train race is one of the coolest in cinema history. Trapped in 1955, Marty and the Doc Brown from 1955 devise a plan to get 1985 Doc Browne back from 1885, because he is shortly to be killed, in the past, by Biff’s ancestor! Marty uses the time machine that has been stored in an old mine for 70 years to attempt the trip back, against oders from 1985 Doc Browne to return with it to the future. Once back in the Old West version of Hill Valley, the two meet up again and attempt to prevent the murder, save the girl, and get back to the future. Yes, it is a good climax to the three movies and better paced than the second one, which went everywhere, and it does have good Doc and Marty chemistry, but there still was something lacking. Maybe the urgency was rushed at the end and the train scene was awesome, but it seemed like it needed a little more in1985 to explain what happens to Marty.
