Review: 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' is weird anti aging film

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button   PG 13
David Finscher directs a this effects heavy Brad Pitt flick about a man who was born old in 1913 and lived to be a baby in 2003. Based on an old Fiztgerald short story, this update has an elderly dying Balchett telling her daughter about this curious man as a hurricane (Katrina apparently) approaches Louisiana in 2005. One of if not the year's best movies and a treatise on aging and growing old also. Although Katrina was not in the original work obviously, it's a theme in the modern part. The real charm happens in the old age part sent back in the 1900s. As he gets older, or younger, he becomes a bit more rushed less interesting. The story is a bit overlong so it doesn't get a full five star rating, but it's still great at times.
