Review: 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' should have been longer but it still has charm despite darker moments

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix   PG 13
David Yates takes over for this fifth flick in the Harry Potter mythos. A nasty, nasty lady takes over as dark arts teacher and he threatens the very foundations of the school, in this dark tale, and Voldemort makes his official comeback. Not for the timid. Crafted nicely but missing some of the charm of the previous one. The book was just so long they had to condense it. The latest movie has Harry acting moody for most of the thing, and Dumbledore, his mentor, acting distant, while his friends try to get to the bottom of it. It’s never too great for the defense teacher.  Had they tried to adapt the whole book about 4 hours into it, after most of the angst, it would have started getting good, and then for another 4 hours it would have been awesome. That’s not what they did. It is also a shorter film than the others.
