Joe Avnet's noirish cop thriller
borrows from 'The Usual Suspects' and several good cop/bad cop flicks to make a
flawed but interesting vehicle for Pachino and DeNiro. Ironically as good guy
cops their chemistry doesn't work, but as they seem to turn to the dark side,
they get better in their roles. Seems they'll always be typecast as heavies. Review by Adam Browne
