Review: 'Galaxy Quest' is brilliant spoof of Star Trek and Star Wars

Galaxy Quest   PG
Alan Rickman, Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver head up an amazing cast in this spoof on the legendary Star Trek series, and spin offs, and since it's 1999 and there is still Star Trek: Voyager on, it is actually quite funny and just catches the show's thunder before it started to wane. This new enterprise takes off with a mock Star Trek convention where nutty folks hound the actors, and some of them take them to a mock up for their ship, and on a fantastic and nutty adventure. Aliens from space assume that the hit TV series, Galaxy Quest is somehow real, infiltrate a convention and transport the actors who played the cast onto a real version of the space ship they pretended to fly in the series. It really is every fan’s Mary Sue story come to life. Also it’s surprisingly clever and funny.
