Review: 'As Good As It Gets' is sometimes funny as a roadie flick

As Good As It Gets   PG 13
In 1997, this was as good as Hollywood could get, at least for romantic comedies with OCD actors in them. Jack Nicholson plays a totally mean obsessive nutcase who goes on a road trip with his apartment buddies because he drives better than they do, but things get a little hairy along the way. Has the most embarrassing performance by a man acting gay since Tootsie, but it's not Jack. No, Jack's character is so annoying that you want something bad to happen to him by the end, and it doesn't, which is why this only gets an okay rating.
