Juno PG 13
This should have won the Oacar for Best Picture of 2007. Jason Reitman (Ivan's kid?), makes a coy teen drama about a misfit girl who becomes pregnant from her first time, with her track star nerdy pal. The neo cons have it all wrong. If only they had actually watched it. The girl is not celebrating being pregnant. In fact, the whole 9 months is a mix of emotion and sadness, mixed with tender moments, as she attempts to put up the unborn kid for adoption, and also to reconcile with friends who have outcast her as being foolish for what she did. Nothing strange about her decision to set it up for adoption. Maybe the neo con conservatives were just annoyed that she didn't keep the baby and go on welfare, which would have been the case, even in Canada where it was filmed. Ellen Page does an Oscar caliber performance. Michael Cera, Jennifer Garner, and a fine cast add to the mix.
