Small Soldiers PG 13
Every little boy with GI Joes has wanted to play with his action figures in a real life environment, with them as real live characters, sort of. But somehow this movie is a misfire. Probably because the cartoon of which this rips off, GI Joe, was far better, even in its campiest moments. Then the story doesn’t do anything interesting but have the characters run about like a thin riff of Toy Story, only badly animated. Review by Adam Browne
