The Spongebob Squarepants Movie PG
Down under the sea, a crew of wacky surreal characters must deal with SpongeBob SquarePants in movie form in this cartoon with some live bits. SpongeBob is a mentally deranged sponge character with the mind of a child. Even so, somehow he has apparently been promoted at the burger place he works at, and it goes to his head. Tries to make sense of the totally bizarre TV cartoon, introducing actors like Alec Baldwin and David Hasselhoff in weird cameos. You really have to be 8 years old to enjoy it, but still some of the over the head adult humor keeps the adults watching. Review by Adam Browne
