My Bodyguard PG
Adam Baldwin, Matt Dillon and a cast of great actors star in this teen drama about a boy who is mercilessly bullied so he enlists a huge, lumbering mysterious older boy to be his bodyguard. It is sort of Ricky meets the Karate Kid meets a buddy story and a triumph of teen life in the start of the 1980s. The liberal use of Los Angeles suburbs distracts from the inner city Chicago scene, filmed at an actual high school called Lakeview. Review by Adam Browne
