Review: 'Airplane 2' crashes into the moon with dumb space landingplot

Airplane 2   The Sequel   PG
Ken Finkleman's take on the Airplane story, set somehow in an alternate future, (perhaps decades later), when somehow the heroes are the same age, and yet there is a shuttle and a moon base. Since there's no moon base and aren't shuttle trips for passengers even now, this movie is really, really ridiculous, but not in a good way. The script was horrid. The acting was forced. The jokes were flat. Maybe they were on nose candy. Had they just been trying to spoof 2001: A Space Odyssey and called it some joke on that, not Airplane 2, it wouldn’t even have worked there. They even felt William Shatner needed to be in it somewhere, which was okay except he acts like he’s bored and wondering why he’s there. The sequel is more like Airplane the rip off.
