Review: 'Almost Famous' roadie drama is entertaining

Almost Famous    R
The road trip saga of the young critic who toured with the biggest rock band of his time and took Rolling Stone magazine by storm, and the best movie of the year 2000, the reviewer thought in that year. On later inspection though years later, this roadie movie is sentimental and kind of similar to Hard Day’s Night but really isn’t all that special. It has some fine acting and some fun moments, and it does have replay value, as a roadie deal with young people in it. The stars are unfortunately so forgettable that they aren’t even mentioned in the review. Maybe that’s the whole point though. You forget who acted in it and think it’s a documentary.
