Steve Martin steps into the Spencer
Tracy role in this sequel to the 1950 classic, only it's not as much fun. It's
okay. Worth a rental. The father must marry off his daughter to a suitor he
almost doesn't like. One line got to me because it actually happened! "Let
them bring their own picnic lunches", Martin stated, because he was so
cheap he didn't want to serve food. This is ironic because about 6 years before
this movie came out, my sister's friend got married and her stingy father said
that very thing about the wedding catering! Ha! Review by Adam Browne
