Day Off PG
In 1986, John Hughes was King of
Teen Movies, and this one was one of his best. A teenager, Matthew Borderick,
decides to fake being sick while his parents are away, in order to have an
adventure in the city. This movie has been riffed and spoofed so many times,
it's hard to tell which came first, but this was the first time anyone thought
of it in a teen comedy. Review by Adam Browne
