Review: 'The Iron Giant' is great toon of a boy and his robot

            Brad Bird's stunning animated feature of a boy and his friendly giant robot is a nod to the 50s and 60s scifi genre and a worthy film. It might even have been one of the best that year, in 1999. Ignored by critics for the most part and badly advertised, it went into obscurity, but not deservedly so. Cast includes Jennifer Aniston so it can't be bad.
