Review: 'Rango' is nod to old Westerns with lizards and other critters

             Rango is a quirky nod to the old Spaghetti Westerns of the past, with a cartoon chameleon, Johnny Depp, and a salamander, Isla Fisher (Mr.s Sasha Baron Cohen), on a quest to find the source of the lost water in the town of Dirt. Rango is a lonely lizard who is accidentally tossed from a car from the city, onto the side of a dusty freeway, where he then meets all sorts of colorful desert critters, and finds a town called Dirt which has a crooked mayor, a turtle, and shifty characters galore. Seeing the opportunity to get new friends, the crafty lizard swindles he way into being sheriff and so has to solve the crime problem, and find the water when the water bank is robbed. A cute and fun movie. It isn't trying to be anything but a fun cartoon. And Abigail Breslin plays some kind of little badger.
