Rushmore R
Wes Anderson's greatest movie, and one of the best flicks of 1998, Rushmore is a bittersweet tale of a rich smart kid, his teachers, and his new school. The loopy story shows heart as it tells perfectly the mixed up yuppy sentimentality of a suburban spoiled youth and his ambitious imagination for getting into trouble. It should not be billed as a comedy though. This is clearly a drama with some jokes in it. Has one of the coolest high school play Vietnam parodies of any movie ever. It is far, far superior to the later rip off, Napoleon Dynamite. Review by Adam Browne
