Review: 'Shutter Islansd' is good psychological thriller

            Shutter Island is a dark film about insanity set on a mysterious asylum island for the criminally insane. Scorsese returns to form, channeling Hitchcock at times, and is true to the novel the movie was based on. Two US Marshals are summoned to the island just prior to a hurricane, where the storm traps them on the island. They are looking for a woman inmate who escaped, but soon it becomes apparent that something more sinister is about. DiCaprio is actually quite good at the right times, much more so than in Aviator and Gangs of New York. The supporting cast steals the scenery often though. A good effort but dark and horrific and not for everyone, especially children and certainly not for the delusional demented.
