The World According to Garp R
Robin Williams and a big cast, including Amadan Plummer, Glenn Close, and Ian McGregor, appear in this strange comedy that half way through becomes a sorrowful dramatic story. John Lithgow helps. The subject of gender bending somehow becomes woven into this, as if it leads to gender bending if you get in an accident and you happen to lose your manhood. Uhu. That's not right somehow. It appears that half way through, they swiched directions from comedy to serious drama, and wavered into melodrama too. It's like they didn't know what to do with the characters.
