Kevin Smith takes a break from the
Jersey series to go across the way to Philly in this sex comedy that nearly
delivers the goods. Seth Rogan (Zack) and Elizabeth Banks (Miri) play loser
friends from high school who after a horrid reunion but afterward they are
unable to pay their bills, so they come up with a hair brained idea: make a
porno flick and make bank. Soon they discover that it's going to be impossible
in a rented studio, when it gets demolished, and then they film it in the
coffee shop where they work after hours! A genuinely funny movie with some
great gross outs, including Jeff Anderson's brown nosed closeup to Jay Mewes
going full frontal with a fake extension. worth owning if you're into Kevin
Smith. The only drawback is a sense of MPAA issued restraint that keeps it soft
core and thus less edgy than it could have been. Review by Adam Browne
