The English Patient R
This epic Hollywood drama set in the 1940's during World War 2, is about the long dialogue heavy travels of a dying man in a medical infirmary. Based on a bestselling novel, the movie brings along tracks of dialog and pretense, while tossing in a liberal amount of Oscar performances, Firth, Finnes, Scott, et all, but will completely bore anyone looking for adventure among the conventional dramatic tales about betrayal, love, and friendship. Adults under 40 will probably be bored and somewhat depressed at what happens. Older viewers who have more patience might like it for the acting and the sheer grandeur of the sets and locales.
