Review: 'Shallow Hall' misses the point and doesn't actually cast overweight people

Shallow Hal   PG 13
The strangest comedy of 2001, this weird flick feature Gwyneth Paltrowe in a fat suit, and Jack Black, and Jason Alexander, as well as other fine stars. Unfortunately, the silly premise is lost, the idea that this Alexander’s character seeing only her inner slim body, (Paltrowe really is very fit and lovely), fails in that Hollywood couldn't just find a really large actress and cast her as the fatter girl. They had to put on an expensive special effects suit. So the story itself is shallow. They could have spent more money on the script instead of the effects.
