Review: 'Alien 3' is tired prison movie with an alien humping dog in it

Alien 3   R
Note to Hollywood. Never let a novice music video director do a big budget sequel. Ever. Ripley is back, thawed out and sent to a prison planet by mistake, where an alien is loose again. Not scary. It has been several more decades for Ripley. The girl from the first movie is dead, killed by the Queen's egg which got shipped with them, even though the Queen did not have time to lay it. Then Ripley gets her head shaved and is sent to this prison planet with some kind of city involved, but it's never shown, and then because they had no money, the alien looked like a metal dog and acted like one sometimes. Rabid dog aliens can be scary. Anyway, the shaky came is the only real jolting one will get watching this badly filmed mess. At times unintentionally funny, like when the alien appears to do the nasty with a colonist victim before flaying the hapless man. Yawn.
